Just Back from Pordenone Legge

Just back from a literary festival in the town of Pordenone, Italy called "Pordenone Reads".

Some literary heavyweights (and my heroes) will be there this week, such as Ian McEwan and Jonathan Coe. I had the chance to see the talk by Ammaniti, a bestselling Italian author. I greatly enjoyed my two events, one at the main festival venue and the second with high school students from the Don Bosco high school. A real pleasure to discuss maturely with these young people. Stefano Bortolus was my host and discussant for both events. He is the chair of l’Associazione culturale Aladura. This year Aladura is organizing a series of talks on "everyday heroism". Here is the program. Just in case you happen to be in the North East of Italy.

By the way, Pordenone is next to Casarsa, the birthplace of PierPaolo Pasolini ....
