This is a dedicated postdoctoral research position on an innovative new Wellcome Trust Collaborative Award, bringing together multiple international research groups on a four-year project concerning the forensic epidemiology and impact of substandard and falsified (SF) antimicrobials on public health. Reporting to Professor Heather Hamill and Professor Federico Varese, the purpose of this role is to create a global index of flow of SF medicines around the world, and to analyse the data mainly through Social Network Analysis.The postholder will be responsible for building and analysing relational data sets related to the production and trade of SF medicines, managing their own academic research and administrative activities, and adapting existing or developing new research methodologies as required. They will work closely with colleagues, providing guidance and training to junior members of the research group, and collaborate with colleagues in partner institutions, developing international connections to enhance the research of the project and its reach.You will hold a relevant PhD or DPhil (or be close to completion) in sociology, economics, criminology, public health, or another related discipline. You will be able to demonstrate excellent training in the field of Social Network Analysis and a strong interest in data set creation.
